If you change a commander's equipment outside of the base, does the game recognize the change and apply the new commander stats? For example you want to trap on a tile but still want the gathering speed buff, you set-up the commander's gear for gather and deploy to a tile...afterwards you change the commander's gear to buff defense and health, does the game recognize the equipment change while the commander is away from the base or must the commander be in the base for the buffs to activate?

Sorry it took me so long to respond, it’s been busy. I finally got a chance to put this to the test. And it appears that once you send the deployment you cannot change the stats. First I tried sending the deployment with all the gear on gathering, once it got to the tile it showed 32 min. Took all the gear off,when to the commander bonuses screen and it looked like the gathering boost was no longer there but the gathjng time did not increase. I recalled and tried on a different tile of the same type this time I did not set the gear. Once it got to the tile it showed 46 min. Even after I changed the gear back to gathering the timer did not change.
