Every time you level up your Commander, you will receive a number of extra Skill Points which can be assigned in your Skill Tree depending on your strategy.
You can see the bonuses your assignment of Skill Points gives you in the Player Profile > Commander Bonuses Menu.
Base Bonuses apply even if the Commander is not in the Base.
Unit Bonuses apply only to the units in the same march or location as the Commander.
Skill points can be reset and re-assigned. For this, you will need a Reset Skills Item which can be bought from the Store.
